Kaplan University Academic Achievement Scholarship
AWARD DESCRIPTION
- The Academic Achievement Scholarship award is equal to a 20% reduction in the then current quarter credit hour tuition for each term in which
the student qualifies. At the current quarter credit hour price of $305 for business and IT programs, $315 for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing
program, and $371 for other undergraduate programs, the Academic Achievement Scholarship credit hour price is $244 for business and IT
programs, $252 he Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, and $297 for other undergraduate programs.
- The scholarship tuition reduction is subject to change in the event of a decrease in the credit hour price for the program.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO QUALIFY FOR THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
- Must be a first-time enrollee in an undergraduate degree program at Kaplan University; continuing and certificate program students are not eligible.
- The cumulative GPA on all prior coursework must have been at least 3.0 of 4.0.
- The student must be accepted into the Kaplan University degree program.
NON-NURSING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO QUALIFY FOR THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
- Must have a minimum of 20 prior college quarter credits at the time of application.
NURSING STUDENT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO QUALIFY FOR THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
- Must have an associate's degree in nursing or nursing diploma at the time of application.
- The cumulative GPA on all prior coursework for the student's associate's degree in nursing/nursing diploma must have been at least 3.0 of 4.0.
SCHOLARSHIP DISBURSEMENT CRITERIA FOR TERM 1
- Scholarship-eligible students whose official transcripts are received by the University 5 business days prior to their term 1 start date will receive
the scholarship award in term 1.
- Scholarship-eligible students whose official transcripts are not received by the University 5 business days before their term 1 start date will not be
eligible to receive the scholarship award in term 1.
- Students must take a minimum of two courses per term (for BSN students, one course in the term in which NU 300 is taken).
SCHOLARSHIP DISBURSEMENT CRITERIA FOR TERM 2 AND BEYOND
- To receive the scholarship award disbursement after term 1, scholarship-eligible students must:
- Submit their official transcript by the end of the fifth week of the first term.
- Take a minimum of two courses per term (for BSN students, one course in the term in which NU 300 is taken).
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 of 4.0 for undergraduate students at Kaplan University and 3.7 of 4.0 for BSN students at Kaplan University.
- Be in good financial standing with Kaplan University.
Note: Scholarship disbursement eligibility cannot be regained by the student once it is lost.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Must be continuously enrolled; students who withdraw or take a leave of absence will no longer be eligible for the Scholarship.
- The Academic Achievement Scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other Kaplan University discount, voucher, or scholarship.
- Employees of Kaplan, Inc., and its subsidiaries, and their spouses or children are not eligible.
- Students who submit their transcript by the end of the fifth week of the first term will be awarded the scholarship in the second term.
