Cosmetology

This course is designed to introduce students to the cosmetology industry and to provide basic knowledge of cosmetology history, sanitation and safety. Professional development, state law, shop ethics, and salesmanship will also be covered during the 1500 hour program. Students will learn the aspects of skin care, facials, hair removal, and makeup. To provide services for patrons, students must complete a minimum of 200 clock hours of training prior to offering. Services which can be rendered are: chemical, hair, scalp care, hair shaping, hair dressing and hair styling, nail and skin care. All services performed are under the supervision of a licensed cosmetology instructor.
